sections

there are people here making interesting music, but it’s not always easy to find each other.

rmc changes that.

community

building a close-knit scene where people show up, share music, and get to know each other.

collaboration

bringing creatives together to turn ideas into finished songs, videos, and projects.

showcases

bringing our music to life through performances, starting small and building toward bigger shows.

spotlight

getting our members' work seen and heard through artist features, live clips, and original content.

legacy

each cohort leaves behind music, friendships, and a growing network that future members can build on.

the studio brings together a small group of musicians and creatives for a semester. members spend time together, work on songs and visuals, and put together performances.

we’re looking for people who want to commit to making things with other people. the music and projects that come out of the studio will be a big part of rmc.

vocalists · producers · instrumentalists · musicians
visual artists · videographers · project support

you don’t need to apply to the studio or make music yourself to be involved. the community is for listeners, musicians, and anyone who wants to meet people with similar interests.

we’re putting the community structure together for spring 2027. expect more open events and opportunities to meet people, share music, and collaborate.

rmc studio

cohort structure

each semester, rmc produces a small set of 3–5 flagship tracks through rmc studio. these become:

  • the core performance material
  • the core social media content
  • the legacy that builds cohort culture over time

core cohort: 5–12 members, with room for more if needed.

contributor pool: members can affiliate with a cohort to contribute loops, vocals, riffs, mixes, or visuals. the core cohort directs decisions.

creative members

singers, rappers, producers, instrumentalists, djs, and engineers.

directly involved in creating the music, developing collaborative projects, and performing.

creative support / culture members

videographers, photographers, editors, marketers, event organizers, designers, and artist managers.

helping build the scene, experiences, and content surrounding the music.

leadership inside the cohort

cohort coordinator / liaison: keeps track of schedules, deadlines, and progress, and communicates updates with the other members.

other roles develop informally around each person’s strengths and weaknesses.

rmc community

a place to be around music.

rmc community is open to everyone. you don’t have to make music or be part of rmc studio to come through.

organized community programming is planned to begin in spring 2027.

listening parties

album, artist, and genre listening nights. the community votes on what we listen to.

workshops

practical sessions led by musicians, producers, engineers, djs, and other music specialists.
